I visited our local Parade of Homes over the last few days, and it was fantastic!  Here are some of my favorite ideas and rooms from the tour.

EXTERIOR

Now, this house (below) was by far my favorite of the Parade of Homes this year.  I’ve never seen anything quite like it inside!  I could show pictures from just this one house and fill up an entire post, but I’ll include the others because they are certainly worth a look, too.  Isn’t this a beautiful exterior?

BATHROOMS

Just look at this gorgeous master bathroom (from my favorite house, of course)!

A little too much stone for me, but certainly very cool.

Now, you might have to zoom in here, because the tub has a very unique faucet.  The water trickles down from under the plant, then down the rock ledges and finally into the tub.

Reclaimed wood above the sinks! I might have to see if I can do something like that in my house…

Bathroom Wood Wall

I don’t usually love ultra modern looking bathrooms, but this one was gorgeous. Plus, the shower was the biggest one I’ve ever seen in my life.

KITCHENS

Here is the kitchen from my favorite house.  I can’t get over the two islands, and the beautiful transom window, and there is some gorgeous paneling on the ceiling too (easier to see in the second pic).

I love ceiling beams.  A lot of brown going on in here, but a very pretty kitchen.

Love the gorgeous backsplash tile, the lighted upper cabinets, the pantry door, and the awesome pendant lights.

Stacked stone over the stove…very nice.

BONUS ROOMS, LIVING ROOMS, and BASEMENTS

This was a cool basement.  See the wood wall in the background?  That was painted by hand onto the wall!!!

Wood Wall

This was another room from my favorite house.  Such a cool music room!  I love a reclaimed wood wall, but the red-painted U2 just adds that extra pop of character.

Mmmmm, pretty coffered ceiling. I do love a coffered ceiling!

These ceiling beams are a WOW!

Can you guess what house this is from?  Such a simple, yet elegant design style.  Love, love, love!

I love these next two billiard rooms!  I’m definitely going to have to steal some ideas from these for our basement.

Love the exposed brick and floating shelves in this wet bar.  Ideas, ideas, ideas…

BEDROOMS

Super cool industrial bedroom with the exposed beam and reclaimed wood wall. I didn’t look when I was in there, but now that I see the picture, I’m wondering if that is a faux “iron” beam?

Love the white-washed brick wall in the mater bedroom.  And the paneled ceiling, too.

This was by far the coolest bunk room I’ve ever seen.  I love the colors, the paneled walls in the alcoves…everything!  They even had a green barn door that opened up to this room, and electrical outlets in each bed alcove.

I thought this was a cool idea for mounting snowboards, and then the paint treatment really accents the bed and the boards.

Here is a really cute gray nursery.  I thought the wall treatment was a cute idea for a kids bedroom.  Looks like it could be pretty easy to do, too.

This was a cute cottage-style guest room.  I’d definitely stay there!

Another cool industrial bedroom.  I’m stealing that hanging light idea over the bed! I’ll let you know how it goes later on…

NOOKS and CRANNIES

There are always fun little rooms, built-ins, and unique spaces in the Parade of Homes tour. Check out this fun hidden door!

Benches and shelves in the hallway…so cute.  And that parquet floor is just beautiful!

Can I live here, please?

So, check out this cute little curved banquette.  It was just kind of floating in the middle of the room, but actually broke the space in the basement up quite nicely.

Closet turned kids reading nook.  Super cute.

And, would you take a look at this pocket door/bookshelf?  The other side was all chalkboard.  So creative!

OK, I hope I didn’t exhaust you with so many pictures.  I had such a great time touring the houses in our Parade of Homes.  If you have one, or something similar, in your area, you’ve got to go check out the houses!  There are so many great ideas just waiting to be discovered.
