Ha!  I wish these were actual pictures of our hall bathroom, but unfortunately they are not. I found these beautiful pictures yesterday on Pinterest. This is what my hall bathroom looks like…

Do you see the painted-over rust in the sink by the drain?  That’s my favorite part.  Now, the hall bathroom is the primary one that our kids use, but it’s also the one that most of our guests use.  I care about my family and friends deeply, so I think they deserve a nicer bathroom, don’t you?  OK, fine, so our bathroom really isn’t that horrible, but when home improvement is your passion, you can’t help but see how much better it could be.

The great thing about the inspiration picture I found is that the layout is almost identical to our hall bathroom, so this is a look we could realistically achieve!  I also love that the paint color is already very similar. We used Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue in our bathroom, which is showing up much darker in my pictures than it actually is in real life.  The inspiration bathroom used Sherwin Williams Sea Salt on the walls…very pretty.

So, I think all that needs to be done is to re-glaze the tub (white), install white subway tile in the tub surround, remove the dated (and grimy) glass doors, install a simple shower curtain (for now), replace the vanity and countertop, paint the vanity gray (or maybe white instead), install new sinks, replace the existing mirror with two smaller individual mirrors (something more simple, and probably white), install new honeycomb tile on the floor, and replace the wall cabinet with a nicer, glass version.  If you say it all really fast, it doesn’t sound so bad! 🙂

Not sure when all this will actually get started, but I sure do like the way it will look when it’s all done!
