Hi there! Hope you are all having a good week! Today, I finished up a really easy and fun little project. I created four cute vintage printables, set them into frames, and hung them up in our laundry room. Making your own printables can take a little bit of time, so I’m sharing mine with all of you…for free!  That way, you can go right to the printing, framing, and hanging of this fabulous laundry room artwork!

Inspiration

The inspiration for my laundry room printables were these beautiful Pottery Barn vintage prints for the office. Too bad they don’t have any for the laundry room!

Making the Printables

To make my printables, I found free online images of an iron, vintage washing machine, old sewing machine, and a clothespin. Using Adobe Illustrator, I merged the images and text, and sized the prints for an 8″ x 8″ frame opening. I even included some dashed cutting lines! For those of you who would prefer the images a little larger, I created a second set of printables that can be used with an 8″ x 10″ frame.  Scroll down to the end of the post to download my free laundry room artwork printables.

Framing & Hanging

I bought some square Studio Decor frames from Michael’s (that luckily happened to be on sale buy-one-get-one free). Even though these frames come with a matte, I did not use it. I couldn’t find an online link to the exact frame that I used, but I did find a link to the larger version of this frame. It has a matted opening of 8″x8″, so it would also work with the printables, if you prefer the larger size. I’ve got a pretty small laundry room, so I opted for the smaller frame size.

I printed out my laundry images onto white Cardstock Paper. Next, I cut the paper to size using an X-ACTO Knife and Cutting Mat.

Once the printable was cut to the correct size, I inserted it into the frame, and put the frame back together. Turn it over and you have your finished laundry room artwork!

The easiest and (my opinion) best way to hang these frames is to use Command Picture Hanging Strips (Medium) These things are amazing!! No more nails, easy to position, easy to remove…I could go on and on! I used the black ones, but they come in white, too.

To hang the frames on the walls, I did a little measuring and used a small level to make sure my grouping of four was straight and even. Here is my new vintage laundry room artwork on the wall!
