Back in the Saddle Again

OK, so I jumped off the face of the blogging earth for a while there.  But, there were good reasons.  I’m pretty sure I’m in the midst of a mid-life crisis, but I really love where it’s headed. So many changes in the works and on the horizon…

The first change is that I gave up on the Interior Design certificate program I was pursuing at the local community college.  I realized that if I really wanted to pursue interior design as a second career, I was going to have to go all out.  So, I’m now in a Master’s degree program for Interior Architecture and Design at the Academy of Art!  So much fun, and such a very different experience from what it was like to get a left-brain engineering degree. So creative and artsy…I love it.

The second change is a biggie.  We put a stop-work on our household improvement projects. Why?  Well, it wasn’t because the crown moulding we attempted to put up in my daughter’s room was an epic fail (because it was), but, well…we’ve decided to move.  More about that later, because there are a lot of exciting things to talk about there.  Basically, the next several projects we do will be in preparation to sell.  Scary…

So, life got a little crazy there for a while.  Big decisions…big changes.  But, I’m back in the saddle again, and there is so much to tell.  Stay tuned!
